This page explains how LandIt handles the CV, job description, payment and support information needed to provide the optimiser.

Last updated: 30 April 2026

This page is written for the MVP and is not legal advice. It should be reviewed before launch.

What we collect

LandIt processes the information you provide when using the CV optimiser.

  • Your CV text or imported plain text CV content.
  • The job description you want to tailor your CV against.
  • The generated match score, review notes, missing keywords and optimised CV.
  • Basic technical information needed to run, secure and debug the service.
  • Payment and transaction metadata once Stripe Checkout is used.
  • Messages you send to support, including your email address.

How we use your data

  • To generate an ATS-friendly CV draft, match score and practical review notes.
  • To provide copy, revision, PDF and Word export features.
  • To process payments, handle refunds and respond to support requests.
  • To keep the service secure and investigate errors without intentionally logging raw CV content.

AI processing

Your CV and job description may be sent to the OpenAI API so the optimiser can produce your result. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train or improve models by default unless the account holder explicitly opts in. OpenAI may retain abuse monitoring logs for a limited period unless different approved retention settings apply.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe once checkout is enabled. LandIt should not receive or store your full card details. Stripe may share payment status, contact details and transaction metadata with us so we can unlock your result, provide support and handle refunds.

Storage and retention

  • The MVP does not intentionally store your CV or job description in a database.
  • Your result and source inputs may be kept in your browser session storage so the results page can work.
  • Support messages are kept only for as long as needed to respond and meet legal or accounting obligations.
  • Third-party providers may keep limited logs under their own policies.

Cookies and analytics

Essential browser storage may be used to keep your result available during your session. Non-essential analytics, advertising pixels or heatmaps should not be added without a consent approach and an updated cookie notice.

Your choices

  • Remove information you do not want processed before submitting your CV.
  • Review and edit the generated CV before using it.
  • Contact support@example.com for privacy, support or deletion requests before launch email is finalised.
